MICROALGAE BIOLOGICALS FOR INDIAN AGRICULTURE

Follow the work

Spanish microalgae science. Indian fields.

THE PLATFORM

Science that belongs in the field.

Microalgae are among the oldest photosynthetic organisms on earth. AGMA Energy turns that biology into crop inputs for Indian soil — and into a platform that sits between Spanish microalgae biotechnology and Indian agricultural reach.

The biology

Selected microalgae strains are cultivated in controlled systems, including photobioreactors. In AlgaEnergy’s production model, captured industrial CO₂ can feed that growth — carbon that becomes biomass instead of exhaust. The biomass carries amino acids, peptides, polysaccharides, pigments, vitamins and natural signalling molecules. UPT® processing is designed to keep that profile intact, rather than boiling it down to a generic hydrolysate.

The partnership

AlgaEnergy brought the strains, the cultivation science and a global agri-biostimulant franchise. KREPL, through Agrolife Sciences, brought manufacturing, formulation and a distribution network that already reaches Indian growers. AGMA Energy is the Indian joint venture where those two capabilities meet — biological products designed for Indian crops, climates and farming systems, including aquaculture nutrition.

In the field

  • Soil structure, organic carbon, microbial life
  • Better use of nutrients already in the soil, including residual phosphorus
  • Vigour and quality across field crops, vegetables and horticulture
  • Support under abiotic stress — drought, salinity, heat
  • A range of inputs qualified for organic production (ECOCERT, 2020)

Products reach growers through established crop-input channels. AGMA Energy is the science and the platform behind them.
